TOOLS OF THE TRADE

The Whitlow Foundation has created micro-scholarships titled "Tools Of The Trade" to assist students attending post-secondary educational institutions and are majoring in the creative and/or culinary arts, and the art and science of agriculture.

Additionally, these students participate in programs that equip them with the skills needed to lead positive and productive lives. Our programs are based on tools and resources that enhance and reinforce positive development for at-risk children, youth, adults, and families.  The Whitlow Foundation  believes that the community is made whole when families are whole and thriving.

We’re here to introduce them to all options that will assist in funding their creative education.

We want them to succeed and further their aspirations of becoming accomplished chefs, creative artists, agronomists and agriculturists.

Food as Art

The Whitlow Foundation is proud of its seminal annual fundraiser called "Food As Art" and invite you to join us in our efforts. This special event provides an in-depth look at food and art culture within the underserved communities, including stories and favorite recipes. This project, both a performance and an installation, will capture the essence of Art by pairing six chefs and six artists for one of the most amazing creations of Food and Art in motion. The artists capture the chefs live while they prepare a taste; all for you to experience the wonderful culture of food and art.

 Join Us

The Whitlow Foundation hopes to be the place where people who think creatively come to see where food and art meet.  We are focused on the future, hoping to introduce culinary arts to the next generation while carrying on the traditions of our ancestors.  We invite you to join us on our journey.

Founded in 2017, The Whitlow Foundation is an official 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC • EIN 82-351356
