FEATURED CHAMPION OF THE MONTH
Our mission is to serve the Washington D.C. jazz community by providing a weekly jam session, an annual jazz festival, and arts advocacy on behalf of D.C. jazz musicians.
Our vision is to financially assist Washington D.C. based jazz musicians, venues, and jazz education programs.
The Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation’s mission would be fulfilled with three main components, two of which are already in operation. The three main components are the Capitol Hill Jazz Jam, the Capitol Hill Jazz Festival, and the D.C. Jazz Lobby.

"Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it".
MARIAN WRIGHT EDELMAN
leaders in our communities within Washington DC have had an impact on lives for many years. Some of those unsung leaders get little or no recognition. A person who is always encouraging others to express their creativity and to live on purpose, and one that pushes their capabilities beyond the limits or own expectations.
Here at The Whitlow Foundation we would like to honor those leaders. Recognizing them for their roles as community leaders, active volunteers, or professionals servicing the community of the creative arts. Those who are chosen does not lesson the recognition and achievements of the many that are thought of in this process.
